MEI introduce their patented Closed Guide Pin System
As part of the “You asked, We listened” campaign with Fleet Operators MEI has been developing a New Patented Design feature. This new feature is designed to reduce the Water & Dirt ingress of the open short pin on Brake Calipers.
Starting in April we will start to transition all the MEI Caliper range to incorporate this new feature.
The first parts that are available are the popular Scania Calipers:

Part No 5C1455 (K040954K50)
The Caliper is supplied with new instructions. MEI have produced a new leaflet explaining the benefits of the new system (pictured above) and a video running through the installation can be seen below.
